“There are plenty of film festivals in the world, and in Ukraine there is already a lot. It’s like oceans, like seas, lakes or ponds. There is water, and there are movies at film forums. I would compare KinoDoc to a river that flows freely and bizarrely across the country from one regional center to another – first it was Chernihiv, last year it was Poltava, and now it flows into Zhytomyr. To paraphrase, if you don’t go to the movie, it flows to you. Documentary films pulsate like living water.”
